For many years, I have enjoyed premium cigars and had the privilege of meeting the remarkable people behind some of the world’s most prestigious cigar brands. Through countless events, tastings, conversations, and friendships with brand owners and master blenders, I came to understand that a cigar is far more than just a product—it represents tradition, craftsmanship, and a unique way of life.
Then one day, inspired by a good friend, an idea was born.
Why shouldn’t cigar enthusiasts in Austria have access to exceptional brands that had previously been unavailable here?
From this simple idea, Imperio del Puro was created.
Not merely as a distribution company, but as a bridge connecting passionate manufacturers, specialist retailers, and true aficionados. A company committed to bringing authentic stories, exceptional quality, and carefully selected premium brands to Austria.
The first brand introduced to the Austrian market through Imperio del Puro was Despot Cigars—a brand whose quality, character, and origins perfectly reflect the values we stand for.
To turn this vision into reality, I began working with Jochen Galle and Dios Tabaco. Thanks to their experience, trust, and support, Imperio del Puro was able to take its first steps and begin supplying premium cigar retailers throughout Austria.
But this story is about far more than cigars.
It is a story of friendship, trust, passion, and people who believe that true quality will always find its way.
Despot Cigars is only the beginning.
In the years ahead, Imperio del Puro will bring additional carefully selected premium brands to Austria, organise exclusive events, build a strong community, and create unforgettable experiences centred around the world of premium cigars.
